PAUSE // Tonight we paused to say thank to the darkness. Thank you for the time it has given us to move slowly, to gestate, to recuperate.
.
And we asked the light to come back to us slowly, but surely.
.
Then we had a visit from the Solstice Badger. We created this yearly ritual from a treasured story in which the Badger is the Sun’s best friend and keeps him company in the center of the Earth each night. The Badger emerges from the depths on the Solstice each year to visit Pine, decorate her, and to call in all Earth’s creatures to gift them with beautiful crystals and gems as a thank you for enduring the Winter and as a promise that the light and the warm time is returning again soon.
.
There is a crystal under our tree for each of us as a symbol of these same intentions. We light a candle. Say a blessing. Sing a song. And luxuriate in the familiar comfort the ritual brings us each year..
.
Happy Solstice to you. ???
