“Welcome to the beautifully hard work of healing.”
– KIM ROWE
The Healing Collective is a place to heal online. It’s comprised of three things:
- A course, as the map on your journey
- A guide, that’s me
- A group, comprised of other women to walk alongside you and share in your healing
A Healing Collective is not a support group (though those can be lovely!). We can certainly vent and commiserate in struggles, but we also enter into a commitment of healing with one another. Healing is our covenant and our promise. So we most often seek a thoughtful exchange that will encourage you deeper into yourself, help you uncover truths, and encourage a forward momentum. Because as you heal, I heal and as I heal, you heal. Questioning, growth, and progress will be our top priorities.
The Healing Collective is a sacred space. It’s for our hearts. We won’t get into treatment protocols, therapies, or really even diagnoses. Because we are a mixed group of women all with our own unique struggles, from divorce or self-doubt to chronic illness or inescapable worry, the name of the struggle in many ways becomes less important. Instead, we are after what is deeper – the whys AND the gifts of our circumstance. This is a space away from the left-brained chatter of labels, where we can instead sink in to recharge and then press on in our evolution.
Here’s more details on the three parts…
This is your course in healing. It will provide you with a framework for how to heal.
It’s made up of the following:
- Ten weeks
- Seven prompts
- Seven group video calls
- Two one-on-one sessions with me
- A private group for discussion
The prompts serve as the backbone for the work – providing both a structure and a shared experience for the group. They are designed to help us confront our old wounds and defenses, a potent collection of what is most common in all of the human struggle. As we face these wounds and begin to heal them, we change. Our wounds are a part of us most certainly, I think some of the best parts, but they shift from being our weaknesses to what sources our power.
The wound is the door.
No matter how much prior work my clients have done in therapy, through work with self-help books or gurus, or in their religion or spirituality, they tell me that something in each of these prompts moves them. I think it’s perhaps BECAUSE of how much the women have done by the time they get to me. These prompts, and the thoughtful progression of them, then allow us to connect all the dots and gain more from the work we have already done. All the work comes together at this time. Now.
The mentoring with me is a way for you to have a guide on your journey. I’ll help orient you. (And we’ll basically be going in one direction. Forward. Go. That way.)
There will certainly be times when you question yourself and the process. You’ll want to turn back. That’s fear, Ego talking. Change is scary. And big changes will be unfolding, so then my job is talk loudly to your soul, and soothe your ego so it can stay calm as you transform. Also, an anecdote to fear is amusement, so I will be ridiculous and be sure that we have a lot of fun times together as we press on.
And I’m sure I’ll say the same stuff over and over to you until you can predict what I’ll say before I say it. It’ll be stuff like “allowing for new possibilities”, and “the thing is not the thing”, and “get out of your Worry Self and ask your bigger Soul Self”. I just need to you hear these concepts so much that they live inside of you and become yours, so that you won’t need me and you can be your own Healing Boss. But I’ll say the same things so much that maybe you’ll call all the phrases Kimantras like my other clients do, to both love on me and tease me a bit at the same time. I won’t mind. We can’t take ourselves too seriously.
But serious things will come up. Big, hard, messy serious things. And I can take that too. Let me share in it with you. You don’t have to face those things alone.
Finally, I’ll be asking you to constantly see things differently at every turn – questioning old thought patterns, writing new stories. That keeps us in a growth and healing mindset and I want this work to leave the group and your healing and go and live out in your life, out in the world. And that big mindset of questing and re-writing is how that happens.
I believe that women need other women like they need air, so just having a community in and of itself is a healing. Then on top of that to have women like this, so ready to do hard things and be brave enough to heal, that’s next level. These women will fill you up and inspire you in ways that are hard to find in other places. And you’ll do the same for them. Enough said. Come join us.
