After reading about The Healing Collectives, you may find your self wondering – What are the benefits to doing this work as part of a group?
The benefits of group work are many.
FRIENDS. Chronic illness can make us lonely. It’s nice to make friends with other people who understand our struggles and who are also looking to heal. They become our allies. We are in this together.
MIRRORS. Other people are also mirrors for us. Often we can see ourselves most clearly in them. Sometimes it’s by relating to their story. Sometimes it’s by being triggered by their story. With the distance that we have from them, it allows us to have compassion or clarity that we can’t always find for ourselves.
HEALING MULTIPLIED. As I heal, you heal. As you heal, I heal. We are a group, a collective, all with one common intention – healing. Together we create exponential energy around that. Much like a church is made sacred by its people all choosing to come together in worship, our collective energy creates a sacred space for healing.
What if I don’t feel comfortable sharing with the others?
That’s okay. You will get out of the Collective what you invest. If at this time, that is a minimal investment, that’s fine. That’s what you need right now. Over time, that may shift.
Here’s the secret to all this – YOU are the one doing all the hard work really. It’s all on you to take the prompts and use them to deepen your healing. You will encourage others to do the same and support them through it, but YOU will also be deeply supported by the Sisterhood on your own healing journey.
How much time will I spend?
However much you want. The calls will be about an hour each week, but again, they are optional. The prompts can take as much or as little time as you’d like. You can spend time reading or watching the prompts, meditating on them, responding to the questions, supporting others.
